The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) served a letter to Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto asking him to explain a possible violation of the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act. This law was approved to allow President Rodrigo Duterte to have sweeping powers to implement measures against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Sotto is requested to come to the NBI office on April 7 at 10 AM.
This is according to reports shared by various media outlets on social media.

Prior to this, President Duterte already told LGUs to stand down and just follow the instructions provided by the national government. This came after his office supposedly received reports that some local officials โgo beyondโ the quarantine rules. The president also warned those who go beyond the set protocols may face charges.
The warning came after Sotto initially permitted the limited use of tricycles in Pasig to serve healthcare workers, patients, and other frontliners.
