LOOK: Nadine Lustre Is Now a Seven-Time Best Actress Awardee

Nadine Lustre was once again recognized for her acting prowess at the 39th PMPC Star Awards for Movies.

The awards show, held at the Winford Resort and Casino in Manila on November 24, honored up-and-coming actors and top movie stars in the country.

Nadine took home the “Movie Actress of the Year” for her stellar performance in the 2022 techno-horror film Deleter, besting six other actresses, including Andrea Del Rosario (May-December-January), Max Eigenmann (12 Weeks), Janine Gutierrez (Bakit Hindi Mo Sabihin), Liza Lorena (Family Matters), Therese Malvar (Broken Blooms), and Heaven Peralejo (Nanahimik ang Gabi).

With this award, the 31-year-old actress is now a seven-time Best Actress honoree. She was also recognized as the Best Actress at the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) for her remarkable performance in Deleter.

Previously, she earned two Best Actress awards at the FAMAS Awards for Never Not Love You (2019) and Greed (2023). In addition, she also secured top acting accolades at the Gawad Urian Awards and Asian Academy Creative Awards.

With Nadine’s string of Best Actress awards, fans and moviegoers are anticipating her comeback at the upcoming MMFF this December with Uninvited. She will be acting alongside acting veterans Aga Muhlach and Vilma Santos.

Meanwhile, Baron Geisler bagged the “Movie Actor of the Year” for his heart-wrenching performance in Doll House. He competed against John Arcilla (Reroute), Elijah Canlas (Live Scream), John Lloyd Cruz (Kapag Wala Nang Mga Alon), Jeric Gonzales (Broken Blooms), Juan Karlos Labajo (Blue Room), and Noel Trinidad (Family Matters).

The 39th edition of the PMPC Star Awards for Movies awarded two films for the highly coveted “Movie of the Year” award. Family Matters, one of the official entries to the 2022 MMFF, and the historical-action film Mamasapano: Now It Can Be Told were hailed as winners.

In 2023, Erik Matti’s On The Job: The Missing 8 was crowned “Movie of the Year.”
