Given BTS’ massive fanbase, the Jungkook look-alike contest created a buzz online even before it officially kicked off. Some ARMYs even joked that the winner would “replace” Jungkook in his ongoing mandatory military service.

The Jungkook look-alike contest took place at Ping Tom Memorial Park in Chicago on November 24. As seen on the poster shared by BTS Charts Daily, a popular BTS fan account, the winner received a $20 cash prize and a bottle of soju.

ARMYs who attended the contest shared snaps and clips of the contestants dressed in various black outfits, which are the Golden Maknae’s signature style!

The Jungkook look-alike contestants were eventually narrowed down to three finalists, and the winner was revealed to be Andrew Alexander.โ€‹ He donned a white shirt paired with a black jacket and gray pants, completing his look with piercings just like Jungkook’s!

Andrew shared photos of himself celebrating his win and proudly showing off his certificate as the first runner-up. In the caption, he wrote, “Lucky #7,” referencing his number in the contest.

In the video, Andrew dressed up as Jungkook, recreating the K-pop idolโ€™s iconic look from his “Euphoria” performance at a BTS concert. He also playfully danced to the song!

“It’s so funny. Every video we post, there’s at least 20 people that are like, ‘I don’t know if anyone’s ever said this, but Andrew looks like Jungkook,'” Ashely said in the vlog.
