If there’s one thing you can count on for a Pixar movie, it’s that it will make you cry. It might be happy tears, sad tears, laughing-so-hard-you-can’t-breathe tears — but tears nonetheless. We might not yet know a lot about Pixar’s next original feature film, but we do know it will have you in waterworks.
The film’s own star, Chris Pratt, is proof of this. Soon after the film was announced, Pratt tweeted: “I can’t tell you much, but…
I will tell you this when we visited Pixar to hear the pitch I straight up cried.”
So thrilled to be part of this. I can’t tell you much, but… I will tell you this, when we visited Pixar to hear the pitch I straight up cried. This one is next level. God willing, in about a year and a half you’ll be moved as well. We have a BEAUTIFUL story coming your way. https://t.co/N9yuxPy6L5

Let me tell you, just looking at the line up for the cast… I already want to cry. I mean, Christ Pratt and Tom Holland together? In an animated film?! I am not exaggerating when I say all my dreams are coming true. Academy Award-winning actress Octavia Spencer and Julia Louis-Dreyfus (from A Bug’s Life) are the cherries on top! Not to mention, the team holding the reins is Monster University’s Dan Scanlon and Kori Rae.
The little we do know of the film is enough to get me excited for its March 2020 release date. Titled “Onward”, the film revolves around two elven brothers who go on a search for any last remnants of magic in their world.

An animator who worked on the team gave us this snippet of information: “If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like if John Hughes directed a Tolkien story, you may want to join our quest.” If he means a coming of age film mashed together with fantasy elements… consider me sold.
Onward to March 2020, then! What about this film has you most excited for its release?
