Marina Summers made history as the first Filipina drag queen to walk the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival 2025.
Proving she’s truly a “Filipina Winnah,” she had a heartfelt encounter with none other than Angelina Jolie, who also graced the prestigious event.

On X, Marina shared that the Hollywood star complimented her, posting a candid photo showing Angelina looking at her with a smile.

Meanwhile, in a separate post, Marina proudly showcased her stunning red carpet look in a black gown by Mark Bumgarner.
“So so so honored to be the first Filipina drag queen to be invited to walk the red carpet of @festivaldecannes. Such a big moment to be repping for the Filipino Drag and Queer community in the sea of people on the red carpet,” she said in the caption.
Marina is best known as the runner-up of “Drag Race Philippines” Season 1. She further cemented her name as the first drag queen from the Philippines to represent the country on the second season of “Drag Race UK vs. The World,” finishing in the top four. She was also the first contestant on the international show to win three lip-syncs for the crown.
