If you’ve read a report that says the final season of ‘Game of Thrones’ will air in April 2019, then you’ve read what appears to be a “false” report. Apparently, Maisie Williams, who portrays Arya Stark in the beloved series, has been recently misquoted.
According to the 20-year-old actress, the “quote” regarding the release date of ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 8 that she has supposedly given was “taken from an interview [she] did years ago.” She announced that it is “completely false” on Twitter.
Just a tweet letting you know this game of thrones release date “quote” I’ve supposedly given is completely false and taken from an interview I did years ago.

The quote was taken from a Metro interview where Williams apparently said, “We wrap in December and we air our first episode in April [2019].” Well, if you check out the post now on the UK paper’s website published January 24, 2018, however, you’d see that there’s now a different quote.
It simply says, “We wrap in December and we air our first episode in 2019.” No mention of the month of April. Well, guess we have to just wait for the official announcement to know for sure when will be the exact release date of the final season of ‘Game of Thrones.’
