On March 4, the whole world was shocked by the untimely death of Luke Perry. Since then, there had been nothing but an endless outpouring of support for him and his grieving family, which includes his 18-year-old daughter Sophie Perry.
Over a month after her father’s death, Sophie went on Instagram to update her followers on what she’s currently up to. In the photo, she wears her father’s character’s hat from Riverdale which reads “Andrews Construction” and shares a heartfelt message.

“First few days back in Malawi have been very emotional but it feels right to come back, to finish what I started, to do the most with whatever time we have left,” she first wrote in the caption. Sophie had been in Malawi, East Africa for a few months until her father’s stroke to work on community development projects.
She continued, “I recently learned that may not be as much time as we think. It was quick and scary to leave home again so soon, but there’s a job to be done, and someone to make proud,” referring to Luke.
Luke Perry died from a stroke at a tender age of 52. He rose to fame for his role in Beverly Hills, 90210 as Dylan McKay. He played Fred Andrews, Archie’s father, in Riverdale.
