A lesbian couple in the US enjoyed a day at the Memphis Zoo last Friday with their friends – and the place was special for the both of them because that was where they had their first date.
Unbeknownst to Jessa Gillaspie, her girlfriend Becky McCabe had a surprise for her.
As seen in the video taken by a friend they were with, McCabe had a ring behind her back. She then professed her love to Gillapsie and eventually knelt on one knee and popped the question.
Gillaspie is seen crying in the video but instead of responding, she got something out of her bag – a ring box! It turns out that Gillaspie was also planning to propose to McCabe!
According to a report, the couple says “they hope to get married next summer“.
