If you’re itching to get out of the city but bored with your usual out-of-town haunts, why not go for a mountainside location that hardly makes you feel like you’re still in the country? The Northern Blossom Flower Farm in Atok, Benguet does just that. Travelers have said that at first glance, the flower farm looks like any other — but put in a little effort and the hidden gems make themselves known.

The flower farm is constructed of greenhouses and open fields, which are equally charming if you can find the right angles. Walk around and you’ll even find some spots overlooking Mt. Pulag and Mt. Timbak in the distance. The flowers themselves deserve some gawking, as several of them are of a rare variety. From snapdragons and larkspurs to cabbage roses, flower lovers are sure to get their fill here.

The surrounding area of Atok only makes the trip more attractive. With the recent influx of tourists to the town, more locals have been training as tour guides to take visitors around the area. Seeing Mt. Timbak, Sakura Park, Lourdes Grotto, and the Halsema Highway Highest Point have become a much simpler feat.

According to travel blogs, the best time to visit the Northern Blossom Flower Farm is from January to April as the cabbage roses will be in bloom. You can get there by taking a bus from Manila to Baguio, then another bus heading to Bontoc but stopping at Brgy. Sayangan, Atok, Benguet.
