10 Visa-Free destinations you won’t want to miss out on!

One of the most hassle parts of traveling is having to give extra time and consideration to acquiring a Visa. Aside from all the documents you have to gather, there’s the anxiety of getting denied (no matter how unlikely that is). You know that you could always opt for a Visa-free destination, but sometimes your selection just feels so limited — It’s not, though.

You might be frequenting the same options again and again — Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia — but there are so many that you may not have ever considered. Here are 10 Visa-free destinations which are relatively easy to travel to from the Philippines:

10. Siem Reap, Cambodia

Siem Reap is best known for being home to the famous Angkor Wat temple complex. A UNESCO world heritage center, 7th wonder of the world, and Tomb Raider location, these structures are definitely something you have to see in person at least once in your life.

After getting your fill of culture and adventure, take a shopping trip at the Siem Reap Old Market. All the bargains will have your arms weighed down at the end of the day! But before retiring, make sure to stop by Pub Street to get a glimpse of the nightlife.

Kuang Si falls convinced us that we need to spend a wholeeee lot more time chasing waterfalls ?⠀ •⠀ This place in Laos honestly took our breath away and holy moly was it FUN!! There are tons of bluest blue lagoons to swim in, a nice hike to the top of the falls and even secret pools to explore ? it’s definitely one of our favorite memories so far ?⠀ •⠀ Tips for visiting Kuang Si:⠀ – get there early (opens at 8 am)! It’s much more enjoyable before mid/late morning when it gets crowded ⏰⠀ – it’s about a 45-50 min tuk tuk ride from Luang Probang. You can grab one around 7 that’ll get you there right when they open! ?⠀ – take the “left” option for the hike, especially on the way down. It’s a little longer but a lot less steep ? ⠀ •⠀ Do you like chasing waterfalls? ?⠀ •⠀⠀ All of our travel guides can be found on ⬇️ ⠀⠀ LOVEHARDTRAVELOFTEN.COM ⠀⠀ (Latest post: Oman ?)⠀⠀ •⠀ #kuangsi #kuangsifalls #laos #luangprobang

Being one of the only landlocked destinations in the region, a trip to Laos can easily span several cities. It’s much easier to go around different locales to maximize sightseeing, especially since Laos is considered a naturally beautiful country. From the Vieng Xai Cave City to the Great Stupa then to the Bolaven Plateau waterfalls and of course the Mekong river, Laos is in no shortage of breathtaking sights.

8. Maldives

Do I really need to say anything about the Maldives? Just looking at photo shows you that this is the ultimate seaside destination for any beach baby. The waters of Maldives are considered some of the clearest in the world, and their sand the finest. There are different activities you can try like surfing, riding a submarine, or going fishing but even just relaxing on the beach would make the trip worth it.

You’ll want to visit Taiwan quick because Filipinos’ Visa-free access to this country will end in July. Hopefully, they end up extending beyond that. The bustling night markets and delicious food at every corner ensures Taipei is a city you’ll want to keep coming back to. Its intricate temples, historical centers, and cultural monuments are truly a sight to behold. Plus, you can go to nearby Jiufeng, which people liken to the spirit town of Spirited Away.

6. Sri Lanka (South Coast)

Travelers may be more familiar with Sri Lanka’s bigger cities or even Tea Country, but a different kind of destination is their beach towns on the south coast. These locales are said to be a hidden gem, with a different kind of life breathed into them. For one thing, it’s one of the rare parts of Sri Lanka that actually has a vibrant nightlife.

You can start by checking out Galle, a town that is home to Galle Fort which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. This town is highly reflective of Sri Lanka’s Dutch and Portuguese influences. Continue on to Mirissa, a picturesque and serene coastline. Or if active and fun is more your type, Unawatuna Beach would be a better fit.
