When the Commissions on Elections (Comelec) proclaimed the 12 senators that will serve the Filipino people, people noticed something: newly-minted senators Sherwin Gatchalian and Joel Villanueva look alike. Like they’re twins.
It looks like both senators are aware of the comparison, as Gatchalian posted a photo of the two of them on Facebook, with the caption, “Ito na ang much-awaited photo with my twin sa Senate. Haha! ‪#‎MayTwinsiWin‬ Joel Villanueva” (This is the much-awaited photo with my twin in the Senate. Haha!)
Valenzuela City Rep. Sherwin Gatchalian is the 10th senator, with a total of 14,953,768 votes.
Former Technical and Education Skills Development Authority (TESDA) chief Joel Villanueva finished second with 18,459,222 votes.
The rest of the senators are Franklin Drilon, Vicento Sotto III, Panfilo Lacson, Richard Gordon, Juan Miguel Zubiri, Manny Pacquiao, Francis Pangilinan, Risa Hontiveros, Ralph Recto, and Leila de Lima.
