LOOK: James McAvoy Is Ready To Shave His Head For The Next X-Men Movie

Since the latest X-Men movies are all about past events in the mutant universe, it was a bit jarring at first to watch a young Professor X walking around with hair on top of his head.

It’s understandable since we were first introduced to the character when he’s already in his wheelchair with a bald head, which was made iconic by Sir Patrick Stewart.

James McAvoy, who plays the young Charles Xavier in the recent X-Men movies, finally appeared with a bald head in X-Men: Apocalypse–and it seems that he’s ready to shave off his locks again for the newest X-Men movie.

He just posted a video on Instagram that may have implied that he’s about to shave his head for the role.

In the video, he holds up a razor and only says in the caption, “He approaches.”

The newest film to be added to the franchise, X-Men: Dark Phoenix, will reportedly start production this month.

McAvoy’s buzzing teaser to his returning bald look is actually hyping things up. Shaving off his hair just shows how dedicated he is to the character. And we can’t wait to see it again on the big screen!
