Coleen Garcia and Billy Crawford are officially a family of four! The actress and host shared on Instagram that they welcomed their second child, a baby boy named Austin, on August 17, 2025, at St. Luke’s Medical Center.

What makes this birth especially memorable? According to Coleen, it was fast, unexpected, and left everyone in the room completely “shookt.”
“We decided to go to the hospital when I was already in active labor,” Coleen shared. “At first, I thought it was going to take a lot longer—I was only 3cm dilated, my water hadn’t broken yet, and the contractions weren’t painful. I was walking around, feeling totally normal.”
But once she was brought to the delivery room, things escalated in a blink. Coleen described feeling a sudden urge to push while still standing.
“I did once, just a little, for relief—until I felt his head coming out. I had to stop mid-push and say the baby was coming! My mom quickly got down to check, and true enough, part of his head was already out! On the next push, he slipped out so quickly that she was the one who caught him!”

Incredibly, it only took two pushes for baby Austin to arrive—born en caul, directly into her mother’s arms.
En caul is a kind of birth where a baby is born still inside an intact amniotic sac. This kind of birth is considered rare.
“It all happened so fast—I was supposed to get an IE [internal examination], dim the lights, play some music, soak in the tub… Instead, I gave birth like two minutes after entering the delivery room,” Coleen recalled. “Everyone in the room was completely shookt, and all I could say was: ‘Well… that happened.’”
Reflecting on the experience, Coleen noted how different it was from her first birth.
“My first birth caught me off guard and left me with some trauma because I didn’t know what to expect. This birth was the opposite. I was prepared with things I packed but never used, techniques I didn’t really have the time to apply, and plans that didn’t unfold the way I imagined. Both births were special and beautiful in their own ways, and God carried me through each of those journeys just as He always does,” she shared.
She also emphasized the spiritual aspect of her birthing journey: “I felt His presence all throughout, and it shielded me from fear and anxiety, reminding me once again that His plan is always greater than mine.”
