LOOK: Chie Filomeno Shares Photos After Crashing Car

ABS-CBN talent and Showtime’s Girl Trends Member Chie Filomeno has always loved car racing. In the past years, Chie participated in the much talked about Toyota Vios Cup along other celebrity drivers Gretchen Ho, Fabio Ide, Troy Montero, Aubrey Miles, Daniel Matsunaga, and Gerald Anderson.

The Autocross Challenge and the Circuit Championship happened last August 31 at the Clark International Speedway.

During Chie’s race, she got into an accident and crashed her car on the inner wall of the racetrack. Good thing the race cars were properly prepared and equipped with safety harnesses and roll cages to ensure that the cars could take care of the drivers in case of accidents.

Chie shared photos and videos of the incident on her Instagram account explaining what happened and assuring us that she is in good condition despite the accident.

RACE WEEKEND DONE!! Woke up and my body is in so much pain, but I’m beyond grateful that I am alive and no one else got hurt. #ViosRacingFestival always giving me memories I will never forget. No matter what happens I still find myself coming back to this sport, the adrenaline rush it gives me is out of this world, it’s so hard to explain why we keep doing it despite the danger, pero pag mahal mo,mahal mo eh. Ganun talaga HAHAHAH HUGOAT. Kidding-aside, the teachings that will forever be in my mind and heart and knowing that @toyotamotorphilippines and @tuasonracing will always have my back is enough to strive hard. What a CRAZY weekend that I bawled my eye out—out of frustration. I got into an accident (much worse than the last time, swipe to see it. First time experiencing aquaplane. I guess there’s always a first time for everything. Hehe! Tas nalaman ko lang sa Ambulance na 2nd na sana ako hahaha! It’s okay bawi bawi.) on Race 6 and wasn’t able to finish the race. It felt like the world was against me the whole weekend but that won’t stop me from doing what I am passionate about, I just have to move on from it—hit the restart button. Smile lang! See you on November for the next leg! No pain no gain. Hehe ♥️ ?:@buikenn

She also shared that many people don’t understand her passion for racing, but that she will still continue doing so in the next leg of the racing event in November.

What do you think of racing as a hobby? Would you try it?
