LOOK: Calamianes, Palawan gets Sea Ambulance

The Philippines is made up of 7,107+ beautiful islands and quite a number of it can’t be accessed by land vehicles. During emergency cases, I’m sure the residents of these distant islands are having a hard time to get to hospitals.

Thankfully, the Sasakawa Memorial Health Foundation and Association of Professional Motor Boat Racers Association in Japan had an awesome idea.

Sea ambulance!

These foundations donated a sea ambulance to DOH – MIMAROPA for the residents of Calamian Group of Islands which include Busuanga, Culion, Coron and Linapacan in Northern Palawan.

The sea ambulance has the basic necessities for an emergency, like oxygen and resuscitator, and it even has its own siren.

This is revolutionary for our fellow countrymen in distant islands. Hopefully, this can be a thing across the country eventually.

What do you think about this cool sea ambulance?
