Anne Curtis is gearing up for a new role in an upcoming action-packed movie directed by Erik Matti by going to boot camp training.
In an Instagram post, the actress shared a glimpse of what took place during her training with the 201st Infantry “Kabalikat” Brigade, which included marksmanship sessions.
“Sir, yes sir [salute emoji],” Anne wrote in the caption of her post. “Bootcamp done. Snappy Salute at Maraming Salamat po 201st Infantry Kabalikat Brigade.”
Tagging director Matti, she added: “Here we go! Training season is upon us.”
Anne starred in Matti’s 2018 movie “Buy Bust” where she did her stunts herself after rigorous training. In a post she shared last May, she included a photo of her script for this new project that had the working title “Buybust: The Undesirables,” suggesting that this was going to be a follow-up to that 2018 film.
Her last movie was “The Mall, The Merrier” with Vice Ganda for the 2019 Metro Manila Film Festival.
Matti first announced that he and Anne would be reuniting earlier this year.
On Instagram, the director wrote, “We don’t shoot movies that are fast and easy. And with someone like Anne who already knows how much bucketloads of blood, sweat and tears it’ll take to do our kind of movies and yet is still so excited and passionate with the story we are going to tell, we can only give it our best to someone like Anne who is hungry to not just make good work but to also pour in the hard work it takes to get it done.”
