A new trend in taking selfies is creating a buzz on the the Internet, specifically on the Chinese microblogging site, Weibo.
According to the report made by TomoNews US, a trend in China is for women not to shave their armpits and take a selfie with arms raised, armpit hair showing. A fanpage on Weibo translated by TomoNews US as “#TheGrandGirlsDontPluckTheirArmpitHair” competition was launched in July 17 and has earned over 28.5 million fans.

Of course, a few trolls also uploaded their armpit hair selfies.
Among the trolls, this is one of the most interesting.

According to the organizer, the competition was created to infuse positive energy and a healthy attitude in women in regard to their perception of beauty. Moreover, they added that, “girls, you should have confidence that you are beautiful just the way you are, shaven or not.”
