Local perfume collectors, rejoice! We’ve found proof that the beloved international fragrance brand Le Labo is opening a physical store in the Philippines and we absolutely cannot wait!
We found this boarded-up shop in Greenbelt 5, Makati between Jo Malone and Hublot that has a tarpaulin cover of Le Labo on it that says “opening soon.”
So far, no official announcement has been made about this but we’re keeping our fingers crossed that this physical boutique pushes through!
Le Labo is a New York-based perfume house owned by Estée Lauder. Its main line includes 19 gender-neutral fragrances and 9 ambient room scents but the most popular one is Santal 33, with its sandalwood aroma, which has since gained a cult following all over the world. Bea Alonzo has famously revealed that her “signature scent” is the Santal 33 which “smells like an open fire” and “suits my body chemistry the most.” Jodie Comer also stated that this was her staple perfume. Meanwhile, Beyoncé expressed her love for the Santal 26 candle in her music video for “Sandcastles” where she lit two of them in her piano room.
