Kythe-Ateneo, a student arm of Kythe Incorporated, has always kept to heart the Child Life Program (CLP). With the CLP engraved in the hearts and minds of Kythers, the phrase “For The Kids” was born. And in its 24 years as an organization, everything that Kythe-Ateneo has done is in all ways, always, for the kids. However, in an attempt to create a larger socio-economic impact, Kythe-Ateneo has decided to tweak its advocacy a bit and incorporate the families of their beneficiaries, since families play a significant role in the development of a child. Such change in advocacy gave rise to a new initiative, the Kythe Family Day (KFD).
Kysiyahan, a play on the words Kythe and Kasiyahan, is the first ever Kythe Family Day of the organization. With the theme “Around the Philippines,” Kysiyahan aims to allow its members and non-members, including the kids and their families, to better appreciate our country in its beauty by featuring different places such as Bohol, Vigan, and Cebu among others. The event has prepared a whole day of fun-filled activities where members can bond with the kids and their families. The event will happen on November 19, 2016, at the Leong Hall Roof Deck, from 9am-3:30pm.
