Kim Chiu is officially the newest host of the noontime variety show It’s Showtime!
The big reveal was done on Monday, September 28, where she was welcomed warmly by regular hosts Vice Ganda, Vhong Navarro, Karylle, Amy Perez, Ryan Bang, and Jhong Hilario.
“Opisyal na siyang magiging host niyo araw-araw (She’s officially going to be your host every day). Let’s welcome Kim Chiu. Congratulations and thank you so much for officially being a kapatid dito sa (sister here at) ‘Showtime’ ” Vice announced.

“Thank you because you choose to stay with us and you choose to be with us. Salamat, maraming salamat (Thank you very much),” he added. “We’re very happy na officially ay parte ka na ng pamilyang ito. Ang saya namin dahil lumabas ka para sa amin. (We’re very happy that you are officially part of this family. We are very happy because you went out of the house for us.)”
Vhong also told her, “Kim, salamat sa pagtanggap mo na maging parte ng ‘It’s Showtime.’ Alam namin na lagi mong sinasabi na gusto mong maging co-host dito kaya lang nabibigyan ka ng soap opera na hindi mo kayang pagsabayin, pero now nandito ka na welcome na welcome ka rito. (Kim, thank you for accepting the opportunity to be part of ‘It’s Showtime.’ We know that you’ve always wanted to co-host but you’ve always been given soap operas that you can’t do simultaneously with this, but now you’re here and you’re very much welcome.)”
Kim couldn’t help but be emotional by the welcome and expressed gratitude to the hosts and the producers for letting her on to become a permanent part of the Showtime family. “Masaya ako, Kapamilya forever tayo (I’m so happy, Kapamilya forever),” she gushed.
Kim quickly trended on Twitter following the great news.
