Filipino representation at the Grammys? KATSEYE, which includes Filipino member Sophia Laforteza, just scored two nominations for the 2026 Grammy Awards.

KATSEYE earned a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. Among other nominees for this category are Olivia Dean, The Marias, Addison Rae, sombr, Leon Thomas, Alex Warren, and Lola Young.
They also bagged a nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their viral hit “Gabriela.” Other nominees include “Defying Gravity” by Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, “APT” by ROSÉ and Bruno Mars, “30 for 30” by SZA with Kendrick Lamar, and “Golden [KPOP DEMON HUNTERS] by HUNTR/X: EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and REI AMI.
In an Instagram post, the group expressed its gratitude to the Recording Academy and their fans.
“We can’t even believe this is real life!! Two nominations?! Thank you to the @recordingacademy we are truly humbled, and congrats to all the nominees today, you inspire us! We wouldn’t be here without our EYEKONS – words can’t describe how grateful we are to you,” the caption read.
The 68th Annual Grammy Awards will take place on February 1, 2026.
KATSEYE is a global girl group that consists of Daniela Avanzini, Manon Bannerman, Jeong Yoonchae, Lara Rajagopalan, Megan Skiendiel, and Sophia Laforteza. They are best known for the viral songs, “Touch,” “GNARLY,” and “Gabriela,” among others.
They are also set to perform at Coachella 2026 alongside P-pop girl group BINI.
