It looks like Jose Mari Chan really does rule over the -ber months. As if hearing his holiday tunes on the speakers of every mall and store wasn’t enough proof, now we have this: a potential appearance on one of the most popular teleseryes currently airing.
Apparently, Dimples Romana — star of the top rated television show Kadenang Ginto — extended an invitation for Jose Mari Chan to guest star on said teleserye.
While Chan didn’t definitively confirm he would be stopping by to make a cameo, he did show willingness at the idea. In an interview with ABS-CBN he even described the kind of character he would like to play. He told them that he wanted to take on a very personal role: a simple man from Iloilo — his home province.

Having the singer appear on-screen would be the perfect holiday treat for their viewers. If it doesn’t end up pushing through for now, perhaps a Christmas special in the near future would be a good alternative.
