Somewhere in the world, a hardcore Batman comics fan suffered a heart attack when they heard of the new announcement by Joker director Todd Phillips. In an interview, Phillips revealed that the new movie won’t follow the comic books.
“We didn’t follow anything from the comic-books, which people are gonna be mad about. We just wrote our own version of where a guy like Joker might come from. That’s what was interesting to me. We’re not even doing Joker but the story of becoming Joker. It’s about this man,” says the director.

Joker is set to hit the big screen on October 4. We can’t wait to see Phillips’ own version of the famous DC villain.
