Across his social media platforms, Cong TV shared that he took to the EDSA streets to join the protest.

In a pinned Facebook comment, he stated that being quiet is more shameful than voicing his beliefs.

“Pag ba nagkaiba ba tayo ng sinuportahan nung eleksyon wala ng karapatan magalit sa mga nangyayari sa bansa (Just because we supported different candidates during the election, does that mean we no longer have the right to be angry about what’s happening in the country)?” he asked.

“Sabihin niyo na gusto niyong sabihin. Pare-pareho lang tayong ninanakawan. Mas nakakahiyang manahimik kesa hindi bumoses (Say whatever you want to say. We’re all being robbed just the same. It’s more shameful to stay silent than to speak up).” he added

In a separate Facebook post, the content creator revealed that she and her husband were afraid to post on social media for fear of receiving backlash from social users.

“Sa totoo lang natatakot kami mag asawa mag post dahil alam namin na mababalik lahat ng galit sa amin pero mas okay na magsalita kesa manahimik (o be honest, my husband and I are scared to post because we know all the anger will be directed at us, but it’s better to speak up than to stay silent),” she wrote.

“Tatanggapin ko lahat ng panlalait mura at kung ano ano pa. Kung yun ang ikagagaan ng nararamdaman niyo. Basta Pare parehas tayo ng gusto. matupad ang birthday wish ni Ms Kara David! Hinding hindi ako mag sisisi na sa wakas nagamit ko tong fb ko ng tama (I will accept all the insults, curses, and whatever else you throw at me if that will ease what you’re feeling. As long as we all share the same goal—to make Ms. Kara David’s birthday wish come true! I will never regret finally using my Facebook the right way),” she added.

Junnie Boy and Vien Iligan-Velasquez

Couple Junnie Boy and Vien Iligan-Velasquez joined the EDSA rally calling for an end to corruption for the sake of the nation’s youth.

“Tumindig ako di lang para sa sarili kundi para sa kinabukasan ng mga kabataan. Kagaya ng marami may anak din ako at ayaw kong maranasan nila ang parehong sakit, galit, at pagkadismaya na nararanasan natin ngayon dahil sa gobyernong nilalamon ng korapsyon (I took a stand not just for myself but for the future of the youth. Like many others, I also have a child, and I don’t want them to experience the same pain, anger, and disappointment that we are going through now because of a government consumed by corruption),” he wrote.

“Lumaban tayo para balang araw hindi na nila kailangang gawin to. Kasi ang laban na hindi natin matatapos ngayon sila ang mapipilitang magtuloy bukas (We fight so that one day they won’t have to do this. Because if we don’t finish this fight today, they will be forced to continue it tomorrow).” he added

It’s time to take a stand and fight for what is right!),” he captioned his post.
