It seems that Edu Manzano found no reason to keep hiding his love from rumored girlfriend Cherry Pie Picache as he confirmed the news through text to broadcaster Cheryl Cosim, which was shown on “One Balita Pilipinas” last Friday, November 19.
Cheryl had asked the 66-year-old actor “how true” were the rumors romantically linking him with the acclaimed actress. Edu then replied, “You’re the funniest! Yes, my dear.” After being asked a couple more times, Edu continued to answer affirmatively.
This comes after fans speculated that the two were something more to each other when they were spotted in many photos together during their trip to New York City, as seen in Cherry Pie’s Instagram post.
Their celebrity friends then teased Cherry Pie about being “in love” during the trip. “Take care and stay in love! You are glowing!” said “Init Sa Magdamag” star Yam Concepcion in the comments.
Cherry Pie separated from her partner Gary Tria back in 2006 while Edu was last known to be with partner Iryne Garcia, though he never made a public announcement of their supposed split.
The two stars are currently part of the ongoing primetime series “Marry Me, Marry You,” wherein they portray an estranged former couple and parents of Paulo Avelino’s characrter.
