Although I am not a huge Thanos fan myself and therefore didn’t really pay much attention to the details of hisย appearances inย Marvel movies so far, I know quite a few people who were extremely bothered by the depiction of this Marvel baddie so far.
Thanos first made his appearance in the mid-credits scene of The Avengers back in 2012 and looked like this:
After that, he appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy in full CGI looking like this:
(Well, at least Josh Brolin’s voiceย was menacing enough for the role.)
And then he appeared in Avengers: Age of Ultron just last year, looking a tad bit better:
Now thatย Thanos will be playing a much bigger role as the main villain in the next two Avengers movies (for now, we shall call them “Infinity War movies” since their new titles are still to be announced), it makes sense that fans are hoping for the best movie version of Thanos that they can get.
That’s why this new photo releasedย byย the people at Ironhead Studios is so crucial: because it reminds us how awesome Thanos could look if they would just use less CGI on him. Lookie!
Right? And he kinda actually even looks like Josh Brolin in this.
What do you think? Do you prefer the CGI version of Thanos better or would your rather see the latter in the next Avengers movies?
