Is Lucifer officially getting a sixth season?

It looks like we’re going to party in hell with the devil again. The sixth season of Lucifer may be happening indeed as Tom Ellis closed a deal to return as the show’s main character.

According to a report from Deadlinethe actor signed for a sixth season of the series. The report said, “Executive producers Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson, who have been steering the show, quickly closed new deals for another season.” Deadline also reported that the rest of the cast is on board to sign deals for the show’s return.

Lucifer was first aired on Fox for the first three seasons before it was canceled. Netflix then picked up the show for a fourth and fifth season. The show’s fifth season, which is still set to air, was previously reported to be its last. However, we might be getting more than that soon!
