Is Joshua Garcia Replacing James Reid in ‘The Soulmate Project’ With Nancy Mcdonie?

After James Reid seemingly confirmed through a kumu livestream last February that he is pulling out of “The Soulmate Project” in which he was supposed to star as the leading man of MOMOLAND’s Nancy McDonie, people have been wondering who will be taking his place in the series.

However, it seems that we finally got our answer after Nancy’s talent agency, MLD Entertainment, announced via Instagram Live that she will be returning to the Philippines in June 2021 to resume the taping of this long-awaited show with Joshua Garcia reportedly as her new leading man!

This news was shared on Twitter by HOLA PH Official on Tuesday, April 20.

Joshua and his management have yet to confirm his involvement in the show.

“The Soulmate Project” will be directed by Antonette Jadaone and set in the Philippines. It tells the story of a Filipino named Jayson and a Korean-American residing in the country named Binna, and how their lives are affected after a fictional law had just been enacted in which the government will match its citizens to their soulmates.

The series will reportedly have 13 episodes which will be finished prior to its premiere.
