As of the moment, Chris Tiu is still weighing his options whether to join the PBA draft or to continue playing for Smart-Gilas, that was what Powerade Executive JB Baylon said after meeting up with the famous cager at a restaurant in Makati. Tiu and a few of his teammates are being eyed by Baylon as potential picks for the upcoming PBA Draft this August.
When asked whether Tiu is ready to go pro, Baylon said “I could only hope he will join,”. Baylon said that playing for the national team remains a priority for Tiu. “But he will weigh all his options and decide in due course”.
Chris Tiu is one of the most popular faces in Philippine basketball. What’s not to admire about him? He’s handsome, smart, kind, hardworking, business-savvy, and not to mention, he does play a mean game of basketball! You already! (ikaw na!) lol What a multi-tasker this guy is!
Aside from Chris Tiu, other cagers eyed for Powerade are JV Casio, Chris Lutz and James Martinez according to Baylon.
