INSPIRING: High School Dropout Tops Teachers’ Licensure Exam

Going viral on social media is the story of a high school dropout, who got hooked playing the online game “Ragnarok” when he was younger, but was able to turn things around and managed to be number 1 in the recent Licensure Exam for Teachers (LET).

Michael Prince del Rosario, on an interview with DZMM, admitted that he was addicted “Ragnarok”, which lead him not to finish high school. He said that due to his addiction, he dropped out of high school without telling his mother.

Fortunately, he was given another chance to earn his high school diploma. When the Department of Education offered the Alternative Learning System, he took the exam, passed it, and got his high school diploma.

He also said in the interview that he aimed to become a topnotcher to fulfill his mother’s dream that he gets interviewed on television.

Since topping the LET, he plans to teach in a public secondary school for him to share his experiences and help students avoid committing the same mistakes he did when he was younger.
