Infinite Cantina Stages New Play “Saglit Lang” This April

This April, theater company Infinite Cantina proudly presents its newest offering, Saglit Lang, a new play written by BJ Crisostomo that serves as a testament to how art can become both a source of comfort and a catalyst for growth.

Saglit Lang tells the story of a child fleeing a violent reality and finding temporary shelter inside an abandoned theater. In this seemingly silent and lifeless space, the child encounters a Maestro, a guide who opens the door to the magic of theater. Through the exploration of moments from various classic dramatic texts with the Maestro, the child begins to understand the life-giving flame that theater ignites in those who seek to comprehend humanity in all its pain and joy.

Theater becomes both a reflection of reality and a torch for voices. With this as its foundation, the play aims to share the power of transformation, light, and hope that theater can bring to audiences and artists alike.

Saglit Lang stars Ron Capinding as the Maestro, with Rico del Rosario and BJ Crisostomo alternating as Bata.

Leading the creative team is Dr. Anton Juan as director. Joining him are Irene Romero as lighting designer, Lawyn Cruz as set designer, Santi Obcena as costume designer, Kyle Confesor as sound designer, and Juls Castro as projection designer.

Saglit Lang will have a limited two-weekend run on April 17–19 and 24–26, 2026, at the 5th Floor Mirror Studio Theater in Makati. Showtimes are at 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Tickets are priced at PHP 800 and may be purchased via https://bit.ly/SaglitLang2026.
