Great Place To Work Philippines unveiled its annual list of the country’s top employers. The 2026 rankings—headlined by Synchrony (Large), Hilton (Medium), and Interconnected Business Process Inc. (Small)—reflect a shift in the Filipino corporate landscape from traditional oversight toward high-trust, borderless environments.

The recognition is no small feat. This year’s findings are from the feedback of over 241,000 employees, representing a workforce of nearly half a million people nationwide.

For decades, Filipino “workplace excellence” was synonymous with stability and a blue-chip name on a resume. However, the 2026 data suggests that flexibility is now “table stakes,” while trust has become the ultimate differentiator.

“The organizations we recognize are proving that when trust is placed at the heart of a workplace, Filipino talent can lead,” said Charles Plumley, General Manager of Great Place To Work Philippines. Plumley noted that while the Philippines is rooted in the culture of bayanihan (community), the modern workforce is leveraging that spirit to compete globally through innovation rather than just “seat time.”

The top-ranked organizations across the three categories demonstrate that culture is a business model, not a perk:

Large Category: Synchrony Philippines. The financial services giant secured the top spot by co-designing a hybrid model with its employees. Here, physical hubs are used for coaching and collaboration rather than supervision, measuring success by outcomes rather than hours logged.

Medium Category: Hilton. In an industry notorious for burnout, Hilton’s Philippine properties (including Conrad Manila and Hilton Manila) ranked highest for well-being and inclusion—areas that traditionally suffer in the hospitality sector.

Small Category: Interconnected Business Process Inc. Based in Pangasinan, this BPO proved that a massive balance sheet isn’t required to build a world-class culture. By “hard-coding” character and credibility into their hiring process, they have scaled from a small team to a top-tier industry player.
As some global firms begin to walk back remote work options, companies like Cisco Philippines and Capital One Philippines (ranked second in the large category) are doubling down on “Conscious Culture.” These organizations allow employees to bring their full identities to work, supported by digital tools that bridge time zones.

“Being named a Best Workplace tells the world that we are living up to our name,” said Nicki Agcaoili, VP and Chief Country Executive of Carelon Global Solutions Philippines. He emphasized that for global capability centers, a people-first culture is now essential for nation-building and innovation.
The rankings are determined via the Trust Index Survey, a global metric that measures leader credibility, fairness in decision-making, and the pride employees feel in their teams.
According to Evelyn Kwek, Managing Director of Great Place To Work ASEAN & ANZ, the goal is to create a “great place to work for all.” As the Philippines navigates an era of young, dynamic talent, the 2026 list suggests that the most successful companies will be those that treat their employees not just as workers, but as trusted partners in a shared mission.
