From discovering new beauty finds, to getting free makeovers, to learning the best tips and tricks from a few of our favorite local content creators and big beauty brands–all these are what we experienced from Lazada’s #LazBeautyRoom at the SM Mega Fashion Hall. And with its Epic 11th Birthday sale already here, Lazada gave us a taste of what beauty enthusiasts can enjoy throughout the celebration!
In its advocacy of redefining Filipino beauty, LazBeauty gave customers a first-hand taste of everything that it has to offer through its weeklong festivities, talks, and interactive experiences that encouraged self-love and confidence. Beginning with the launch of the #LazBeautyRoom where everyone came to try the different amazing beauty products that were on display, LazBeauty kept the excitement going in the following days with masterclasses and exhibitions in collaboration with its partner brands, seller ambassadors, and more LazBeauty Besties.
Business owners on Lazada were able to learn how to effectively grow their businesses, maximize their presence and branding online, build a loyal community of customers, and make smarter financial decisions thanks to talks by Gesika Baylon, the owner of Greenika, Sheena Pausal, the owner of S&S Organics, Guia Peralta, the e-commerce manager of Do Day Dream Philippines, and Kristine Andaya, the owner of one of Lazada’s top Marketplace sellers, Kanna Beauty. This goes to show how much Lazada supports and empowers its sellers to succeed.
Visitors also got to transform their looks on the spot through free makeovers at the #LazBeautyRoom while attending free masterclasses from big beauty brands to bring out their inner glamor: haircare and styling with Aveda and Dyson, makeup tutorials from Issy & Co., a talk by actress-model Marlann Flores on achieving that glam look, and a talk by Clocheflame CEO Arianne Amante, who also teased some of their upcoming Birthday deals “as a way of giving back to others.”
To cap off the event, Tiktok beauty content creators graced the #LazBeautyRoom stage. Lianica Yap demonstrated how to create the perfect no-fuss everyday makeup look. Miss Nate, on the other hand, educated the audience on the difference between bronzing and contouring when applying makeup. Lastly, Teree Daisuke showcased how easy it actually is to use the same beauty products to create both day and night looks.
They even imparted inspiring messages to fellow makeup enthusiasts on how to be brave in playing with makeup not as a way to hide their insecurities but to enhance the beauty that’s already apparent from within.
“True beauty for me is having a good personality and attitude kasi that’s really what makes you beautiful. Our looks and physical appearance are [just for us, but] what’s really important is what’s inside,” Lianica shared.
“People think to be beautiful, you have to fit a certain standard. I was also a victim of this mindset. But I realize now that it’s not really about the visual [look]. I realize now that I am beautiful,” said Miss Nate. “Because we see a lot of content online, we also see various things that can be considered beautiful. So with the influx of beauty content, there’s more to see and there’s also more to appreciate. I [also] think it’s high time that we redefine Filipino beauty but to our own standards. LazBeauty is a great conduit to start that change in the Filipino beauty community and for everyone part of it.”
“Ang kagandahan sa [LazBeauty] ay kung gusto mo mag-makeup, go. Hindi na pang-events [lang] ang makeup. Pwede siyang pang-everyday. Kung gusto mong mag-full glam on a morning, sa work mo, go!” expressed Teree. “Yun ang gustong goal [ng LazBeauty] — na parang lahat ng tao can wear makeup anywhere, anytime, ano mang occasion.”
