Sunshine Cruz and her boyfriend, Macky Mathay, are the current subject of breakup rumors after netizens noticed that the two have unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Further fueling the speculations was Sunshine’s post last September 22 wherein she opened up about having a lot of “realizations and challenges” while in lock-in taping for over a month.

“I experienced so much realizations and challenges while I was locked in for 35 days. It wasn’t easy coz there’s not much you can do but pray and hope for the best. Challenges and trials will always be part of our lives and at the end of the day, we just have to focus on positive things coming our way. So much blessings are being given to me and my family afterall. Wala akong karapatang mag reklamo,” she wrote.
“‘Everything happens for a reason, live it, love it, learn from it,'” she ended.
The couple has yet to confirm or deny the rumors.
The last time Macky and Sunshine were seen together in photos was during Sunshine’s secondborn daughter Sam’s 18th birthday. Macky was notably absent from pictures taken during Sunshine’s weekend trip to Batangas with her daughters and their friends to celebrate firstborn Angelina’s 21st birthday.
Sunshine and Macky celebrated their fifth anniversary in September last year.
