Drag Race Philippines is back for its second season and it promises to be even more explosive.
It premieres on August 2, 2023, but WhenInManila.com was invited to the premiere the previous night.
Attendees got to watch the first episode of the second season, which features a well-loved challenge in the Drag Race franchise. To avoid spoilers, the premiere followed the first season’s viewing party by cutting the episode right after the lipsync for your life segment.
In each episode, the two bottom queens must perform a lip sync. The winner shantays (or stays for another episode), while the other sashays away (or leaves the competition).
The premiere night also introduced the queens who will compete this season: Arizona Brandy, Astrid Mercury, Bernie, Captivating KatKat, DeeDee Marié Holliday, Hana Beshie, M1ss Jade *tongue pop* So, Matilduh, Nicole Pardaux, ØV C–t, Tiny Deluxe, and Veruschka Levels.

Queens from the first season of Drag Race Philippines were also present, such as Prince, Gigi Era, Turing, Lady Morgana, Viñas DeLuxe, Brigiding, Minty Fresh, Eva Le Queen, and Marina Summers.
Precious Paula Nicole, the reigning winner, was also present and gave a performance and speech.

This season will see the return of Paolo Ballesteros as the show’s host, along with KaladKaren, Jiggly Caliente, and Rajo Laurel as the judges. Ballesteros, KaladKaren, and Laurel were also at the premiere.
Drag Race Philippines season two will stream starting August 2, 2023, on HBO GO and WOW Presents Plus at 7 PM.
