National Book Store hosted the global launch of Beyond the Story: 10-Year Record of BTS, the K-pop group’s first official book. The launch was held on July 9, 2023, at 7 AM, at the Quantum Skyview, Gateway Mall 2. It is the first and earliest launch event on ARMY Day, which celebrates the anniversary of the band’s loyal international fan base.
At the event, attendees were able to purchase both the U.S. and Filipino editions of the book starting at 7:09 AM, in line with the global launch time.
They also learned more from the translators of the Filipino edition, enjoy the exhibit and photobooth, write on the message board, and win amazing prizes including K-pop magazines, books, and copies of Beyond the Story. The first 1,000 attendees who pre-ordered or purchased the book on-site also received a free poster.

Beyond the Story
Beyond the Story celebrates BTS’s 10th anniversary and includes unreleased photos and information about all albums. If you don’t already know, BTS is the best-selling Korean artist in history, with over 100 million copies sold according to Chart Masters, and having earned more than 25 Guinness World Records.
The U.S. edition of the book was made available for pre-order with a special discounted price at National Book Store’s online stores and on Lazada and Shopee.
The first batch sold out in less than two hours and has since been restocked twice. In fact, the U.S. edition is one of the highest-selling pre-order titles to date in National Book Store’s history.

National Book Store is also the first Philippine retailer to secure the rights to distribute the Filipino edition, translated and published by Apop Books. The Filipino edition was also made available for pre-order at National Book Store branches nationwide. There are only 24 languages the book is published in and the Filipino edition has exclusive photocards.

For those who haven’t pre-ordered, limited stocks of the U.S. and Filipino editions are available in select branches. The U.S. edition is available for PHP1,795 (hardcover) while the Filipino edition is available for PHP1,295 (hardcover with photocards).
