Among the things that couples end up with when the dust of wedding preps and the celebration has settled aside from the photos, videos, too much kitchen stuff and memories, are of course, the bling.
Pia Abacan of Be Jeweled made sure the rings the two would wear for eternity was an embodiment of God’s faithfulness in their lives. Gee’s ring was engraved with the words “God’s promise” as a reminder of her waiting for the right man and right time. Meanwhile, Archie’s own ring hold the words “God’s gift”. Needless to say, we all know what Archie thinks he is to Gee all this time!

Even if you already have a wedding planner, it wouldn’t hurt if you still hit the Internet once in a while to get an idea about what you’d like for your wedding. Not only will it help your organizer get a feel of your expectations; it will also cut your time in half trying to explain something when you can simply show them what you like.
Because there were only less than two months to go before Gee walked down the aisle, it became a challenge to find a designer who could come up with something absolutely amazing on her day. However, since she made the Internet her best friend, Gee came upon designer Haydee Garcia’s name.
After letting her know the design she had in mind, Haydee was not only gracious enough to make her an absolutely stunning wedding gown in a short period, she also came through and made an after-party dress Gee comfortably changed into!
With the dress ticked off her list next, it was time to hunt for the best Hair and Make-up Artist to make her radiant and glowing on her special day.
Unlike us mere mortals, Gee’s beauty did not need a lot of primping and so Hennessy Del Rosario was the best choice to enhance her stunning assets and Apol Alviar for her hair.
As Archie is no stranger to looking dapper and polished for work, a suit from Russel May Cordero was in order for the groom-to-be. Not left behind were his groomsmen’s suits from Jovan Dela Cruz, which made them all the proper gentlemen on the couple’s wedding day.
And of course because all nice things starts with ambiance and good mood, 8 Suites in Tagaytay provided exactly that for the about-to-be newlyweds and their entourage. Serene and surrounded with scenic views, the venue was the perfect send off place for the excited couple!
Unlike other brides-to-be and hoping-to-be-brides, Gee did not have her own “Wedding Day” board on Pinterest. However, she did look up designs on the World Wide Web for her ideal wedding cake and she knew that they wanted something that would encapsulate the whole wedding vibe and both of their personalities.
Given that they both love to eat, Archie and Gee went for a cake that even their guests would enjoy. To complement the rustic vibe, the couple opted for a three-tiered “naked cake” from Naked Patisserie. With its minimal frosting enhanced only with pastry flowers, the cake was a perfect reflection of who Gee and Archie are – simple “pero may dating.”
Have a Support Team
Planning a wedding in a short period of time can bring many emotions to surface, so the couple really found it a huge deal to have a support group helping them every step of the way. There are just some things that only family and friends can bring – and that is the emotional support of entering a new season in their lives.
Not only that, these people can also be a good resource of ideas and advice that can help in the preparations. Plus, since these people know Gee, they knew what she needed and when she needed them.
When things began to be overwhelming, Gee’s friends Abby Asistio and Mars Balajadia collaborated to give the bride-to-be and her entourage a truly relaxing Mecca Spa Party for a bridal shower she would never forget.
Having a support group there for you can do wonders for a bride’s preparation and since Gee wanted her tribe to be as sophisticated as she was on her special day with Archie, there was no doubt in her mind that they would be the most stylish tribe ever with gowns from Saturday Dress Manila.
Since Abby has been friends with Gee for quite some time, the singer and songwriter knew how personal Gee wanted her wedding to be. She teamed up with recording artist Julianne Tarroja, who was also part of Gee’s entourage, and the two artists came up with an original song they sang for the couple during the reception.
So you see, it pays to have friends and family involved (for a tiny bit) in your wedding preps, guys. Don’t take this for granted. You never know the ideas that can pop up when you do.
So how did a wedding planned in two months turn out? Beautifully. Elegantly. Stunningly. And funny. Because as with anything involving Gee and Archie, a few laughs just aren’t enough.
