Nearly 15 years since it first premiered and delighted basketball fans all around the world, the kooky film “Space Jam” featuring our favorite Looney Tunes crew is coming back much sooner than you think with its much-awaited sequel, and with a new basketball star coming onboard!
With only a few months left to count down to, HBO has finally shared a quick glimpse of what we should expect from the film. Over the weekend, during the preview of its lineup of upcoming shows under Warner Bros., a scene involving LeBron James and Bugs Bunny was revealed that lasted for only two seconds, but already proved how epic the movie is going to be!

The official synopsis of “Space Jam: A New Legacy” is as follows:
“Basketball champion and global icon LeBron James goes on an epic adventure alongside timeless Tune Bugs Bunny. When James and his young son Dom – who dreams of being a video game developer – are trapped in a digital space by a rogue AI, James must get them home safe by leading Bugs, Lola Bunny, and the whole gang of notoriously undisciplined Looney Tunes to victory over the AI’s digitized champions on the court: a powered-up roster of basketball stars as you’ve never seen them before.”
“Space Jam” premiered in 1996 with Michael Jordan as its lead star.
“Space Jam: A New Legacy” is directed by Malcolm Lee and will be released on HBO Max this July 2021. It also stars Don Cheadle, Sonequa Martin-Green, and Cedric Joe.
