In an effort to create awareness on a sensitive yet progressive topic, a way for us to start talking about it is to start talking about it. The Help Summit 2020 aims to strengthen the readiness of the youth participants in managing their mental wellbeing while creating a safe and open environment for their peers as well.

Distinguished guests and speakers of Help Summit 2020 include:

Dr. RJ Naguit, Founder and former Chairperson of the Youth for Mental Health Coalition

Dr. Ronald Del Castillo, PsyD, MPH, Founder and Principal Investigator of DIWA Mental Health

Dr. Gia Sison, Founder of Unsaid Feelings, mental health advocate and adviser

Throughout the summit, delegates will also be encouraged to engage in meaningful conversations, which ultimately breaks the barriers of communication. By listening and choosing to learn more about mental health, we give ourselves the chance to provide helpful support to those affected in our families and communities.

“Mental Health as an advocacy has moved at the foreground in the recent years as more people relate to the experience or has someone within their circle, whether family or friends, experiencing Mental Health problems.” Our co-advocate for Help Summit 2020, iVolunteer Philippines, expressed. Although we continue to face the stigma against mental health, the evident efforts of today’s youth to alleviate it is proof that our generation is working towards a more inclusive and sustainable society.

This is an open invitation to you, and to anyone who wishes to break the stigma. Help Summit 2020 is an opportunity for us to be advocates of positive change. We are the generation that moves forward with the mission of creating a more open and connected society. It all begins with us, today’s youth, for we are tomorrow’s leaders.
