The Black Widow solo movie started filming in Norway in late May. Since then, the production team has moved from Norway to the UK, and they are now reportedly hitting the streets of Budapest. For MCU fans, Budapest might ring a couple of bells. It’s been a long-running inside joke between Natasha Romanoff and Clint Barton aka Hawkeye.
Recently, reports have been surfacing about Jeremy Renner reprising his role as Clint in the Black Widow movie. If the film does end up being about Natasha’s origin story, it would make sense for Hawkeye to return since, in MCU canon, he was the one who recruited Natasha to join S.H.I.E.L.D.
We Got This Covered reported that there’s a huge chance that Hawkeye might appear in Black Widow’s solo movie, but the role would be tiny (basically a cameo).
Meanwhile, Marvel Studios has yet to confirm that the Black Widow movie even exists. We’re counting on hearing more about it at the San Diego Comic Con in July where the MCU will most likely present its plans for Phase 4.
