Kadayawan is one of the Philippines’ most vibrant festivals, but this year, Davao is offering more than its celebrated culture, cuisine, and festivities. Music lovers and theatre enthusiasts now have another reason to head south as Mindanao Repertory Community (MRC), in partnership with Gaisano Malls of Davao (GMall), presents Hanggang Sa Muli—a jukebox musical featuring the timeless OPM hits of the legendary vocal group The CompanY.
Poised to become Davao City’s longest-running musical production, Hanggang Sa Muli is a testament to the thriving performing arts scene in Mindanao. The production transforms some of The CompanY’s most beloved songs into an original theatrical story that celebrates love, friendship, hope, resilience, and second chances—reminding audiences why these classics continue to resonate across generations.
Running every weekend from August 22 to September 13, 2026, the musical will be staged on August 22–23, August 29–30, September 5–6, and September 12–13, with performances beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Leo Dominguez Amphitheater, Ateneo de Davao University–Matina Campus.
More than a musical, Hanggang Sa Muli is also a production with purpose. Proceeds will benefit the Davao Amuma Cancer Support Group, helping sustain programs that provide care, support, and hope to cancer patients and their families. Every ticket purchased helps turn the power of theatre into meaningful community impact.
Behind the production is a distinguished team of Davao theatre practitioners and music professionals. Hanggang Sa Muli is written and directed by Engr. Jairus Rosello, with Jose Mari Dela Peña serving as musical director and Neil Angelo Bularon as musical arranger. Providing creative guidance as production consultants are Bong Aviola, Cecil Hidalgo, and Sweet Plantado Tiongson and Moy Ortiz of The CompanY, bringing together local artistic excellence with the legacy of one of the country’s most celebrated vocal groups.
