Here are the Guidelines for Transportation Amidst the Enhanced Community Quarantine in Luzon

Along with the updated guidelines for the newly imposed ‘enhanced community quarantine’, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) has also released the guidelines for transportation, which is now in effect until 12AM on April 13, 2020.

Public transportation shall suspend operations.

This includes MRT-3, LRT-1, LRT-2, PNR, public utility buses, jeepneys, taxis, FX, UV Express, motorcycle taxis, Point-to-Point (P2P) buses, and Transport Network Vehicle Service (TNVS).

Foreigners can still fly out in the next 72 hours.

Foreigners can still leave the Philippines within 72 hours upon the effectivity of the enhanced community quarantine.

Filipinos cannot leave the country.

Airports will only operate for outgoing flights for tourists and foreigners. Filipinos are no longer allowed to leave the country.

Filipinos can still enter the country.

Inbound flights are only for repatriating Filipinos.

Travel of uniformed personnel for official business is allowed.

Uniformed personnel who are traveling on official business, particularly to deliver laboratory specimens related to COVID-19, medical supplies, and other humanitarian aid, are still allowed to do so.

Only one person per household may leave their homes for their basic necessities.

If you need to buy basic necessities, only one person per household may leave the house. Private vehicles can be used for this particular purpose.

Media will need a special media pass.

Reporters and media vehicles are allowed to travel during the enhanced community quarantine provided they get a special media pass from the PCOO to do so.
