A report made by ABS-CBN News stated that airport authorities arrested three suspects this morning who were allegedly assembling improvised explosive devices (IEDs) inside a dirty white Toyota Revo with plate number WMK 129 parked at NAIA T3 parking B.

Aside from the IEDs found inside the car, a number of firearms were also seized from the suspects.

Still, the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) assured the public that NAIA T3 and all other terminals remain safe.

However, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said that there is a heightened alert level in airports nationwide. The heightened alert status in the airports means that 50% of the security personnel have to be at their posts at any time.
