Due to overwhelming public demand, the documentary’s theatrical run has been extended for another week!
Directed by Diane Ventura, the documentary has garnered positive reviews and recognition from viewers and critics, following its initial premiere from March 21 to 23.
Ventura expressed her deep gratitude to Eraserheads fans for their unwavering support.
โThe positive response and support have been overwhelming and humbling,โ she shared. โIโm filled with so much gratitude. I hope more people get to see the film. I hope it does for them what it did for me. This is not just a music story; itโs our story. This is for all of us.โ
Originally intended for a limited release, “Eraserheads: Combo On The Run” is a powerful exploration of how a once-disbanded group of punks came together and provided reprieve to an entire nation while, perhaps unknowingly, embarking on their own journey of healing. It features rare footage and never-before-seen interviews and offers a compelling look at the bandโs storied history, struggles, and triumphs.
Adding to the excitement, Eraserheads surprised fans with a live performance at a sold-out screening in a Quezon City mall over the weekend. The legendary Pinoy rock quartet performed timeless anthems from their Greatest Hits catalog, including โSuperproxy,โ โCombo on the Run,โ โAlapaap,โ โSpoliarium,โ โPare Ko,โ and โMagasin.โ
Ely Buendia also visited another cinema on March 23 to thank the public for showing up to the theaters and supporting the documentary.
“Eraserheads: Combo On The Run” is presented by DVent Pictures and WEU and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.
Eraserheads is set to hold a concert titled “ERASERHEADS: ELECTRIC FUN MUSIC FESTIVALโ on May 31, 2025, at SMDC Festival Grounds in Pasay City.
