Malik took it to his Twitter account to confirm the news, asking for “respect” in this “difficult decision” as well as “privacy at this time”.

According to an article written by CNN Entertainment, Hadid “implied the split was amicable”. But [as of writing], Malik no longer follows Hadid on Instagram.
The couple made their relationship public at the 2016 Met Gala, after speculations of the pair being together when Hadid starred in Malik’s “Pillowtalk” music video.
