ENTERTAINMENT: Coco Martin’s Brother Wins First Acting Award in New York For ‘Pamilya Ordinaryo’

Pinoy talent is yet again making waves in the international movie scene. The stars of the Filipino indie film Pamilya Ordinaryo just got the top acting awards from the Harlem International Film Festival which was recently held in New York.

Hasmine Killip took home the “Best Actress” award while Ronwaldo Martin, the brother of the Kapamilya star Coco Martin, won “Best Actor”. The duo portrayed the roles of two teenage parents whose baby had been stolen.

This acting award is the first for Ronwaldo, and this only proved that the acting talent runs in the blood. The young actor reportedly dedicated his award to his family.

Pamilya Ordinaryo was the Best Film at the 2016 Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival.

Ronwaldo definitely deserves his own spotlight because he is good. I can’t wait to see more of him in more indie films–or possibly even on the small screen! Coco who? Ronwaldo is surely the newest actor to look out for.
