After our Japanese dining experience at UMU, we were then transported to Thailand as we entered Benjarong.

Pomelo Salad
Pomelo Salad, I believe would be the most famous of all Thai salads and a favorite among Thai food fans because of its refreshing flavors and textures which cleanses the palate.
Thai Bagoong Rice: One of the best I’ve had so far with its mix of well balanced flavors from the shrimp paste infused rice to the savory pork chunks plus the delicately flavored strips of omelette then accentuated with a refreshing palate cleansing zest of the green mangoes.

Basically hot and sour soup and one of the main signature dishes that defines Thai flavor

Our dinner at Tosca was definitely one of the highlights of our stay for we never thought we’d be having one of our most pleasurable dining experiences here.
There are countless Italian Restaurants around the metro… but the creations of Chef Maurizio Gibillini, that’s a different story!
I will never forget this feast. Chef Maurizio has truly mastered his craft and his love and passion for great food makes all his creations come alive. That night, we were honored to have the pleasure to share a meal with him and hear his stories from. Having him around was so fun, that it felt like meeting up with an old friend.

After a day of indulging in gastronomical masterpieces, we never thought the next day would also be full of culinary surprises!
Basix – International Buffet Restaurant
We woke up early as we were both excited to have our most favorite meal …..
Aside from the usual breakfast staples, we were surprised to see a lot of certified Filipino favorites which we rarely see in other buffets. We were surprised to see Pinoy classics such as the Champorado, Tinapa, Taho and traditional chewy hot Pan de Sal!
I super loved their signature Corned beef hash! Tasted sooooo Pinoy! Best eaten with Pan de Sal!
They even have my favorite Tortang Talong!
Like in all the fine restaurants inside Dusit Thani Manila, we can only say good things about Basix for we were very satisfied with the quality as well as the food choices. The chefs told us we also have to try their lunch buffet so we can taste their very own versions of other well known Filipino classics! We’ll definitely look forward to that!

The people from Dusit Thani Manila made sure that we checked out feeling relaxed, rejuvenated and with a lasting great impression which will make you yearn to come back.
