Hail, the Mother of Dragons!
Emilia Clarke, a.k.a Daenerys Targaryen, Mother of Dragons, The Unburnt, The Breaker of Chains, is said to be in the last stages of negotiations to join the Marvel Universe. This is according to rumors, which was first reported by Variety. If finalized and all goes well, Clarke will be appearing in Secret Invasion, a Marvel series set to air on Disney Plus.
She will be joining the cast alongside MCU veteran Samuel L. Jackson a.ka. Nick Fury, Ben Mendelsohn as Skrull Talos (as seen in Captain Marvel), Kingsley Ben-Adir, and Olivia Colman. According to Variety, the series is “said to follow a group of shape-shifting aliens who have been infiltrating Earth for years.”
How the Mother of Dragons—errr, Emilia Clarke, I mean—fits into all this is still unknown, as her role is still being kept under the wraps. But one thing we do know: we really do freaking wish this happens.
