Duterte Orders Travel Ban from China, Hong Kong and Macau

With the recent demise of the 2nd case of nCoV in the Philippines, President Rodrigo Duterte now orders the ban of flights from mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau.

According to Senator Bong Go, he met with President Duterte where they discussed the expansion of the travel ban from just Hubei China to the whole mainland and its administrative regions.

“Sa ngayon ay mag-i-implement na ng temporary travel ban on travelers coming from any part of China and its special administrative regions”, Senator Bong Go said in an interview with GMA’s DZBB.

According to the Senator, President Duterte had considered the concerns of the government officials and health experts about the matter. He also added that the ban is not single out the Chinese nationals but for everyone who is traveling from China regardless of their nationality.
