DOH Announces Total Number of Fully Vaccinated Individuals in the Philippines

The Department of Health (DOH) reportedly said that above 62 million Filipinos are now fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

DOH Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said on Saturday (February 19), โ€œsa ngayon mula po noong nag-umpisa tayo, we have a total of 62.3 million individuals fully vaccinated already in the country.โ€

The Philippine government’s COVID-19 vaccination program started last year in March.

She explained, โ€œThat translates to about 69.8 percent coverage if we talk about the target of 77 million.โ€

As for the booster shots, Vergeire said that only about 9.6 million doses have been administered so far.

Have you gotten your booster shot?
